IOP Publishing (IOPP) is pleased to announce IOP Future of Nanotechnology Symposium at ChinaNANO 2022 on 14 August.
The morning session on Energy features five distinguished speakers, chaired by Prof. Caofeng PAN.
The afternoon session will start with a session on Surfaces and Interfaces in Low-Dimensional Systems with four speakers from Peking University and Institute of Physics of CAS, and chaired by Prof. Wencai Ren. This will be followed by a Meet the Editors panel featuring Editors-in-Chief and editorial board members from 2D Materials, Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, Journal Phys: Energy, JPhys Materials, Materials Futures and Nanotechnology. The session will conclude with the presentation of the IOP Outstanding Early Career Investigator in Nanoscience Award, with an invited talk given by the winner.
IOP Publishing is calling for nominations for its ‘Outstanding Early Career Investigator in Nanoscience Award’ which recognizes and rewards the exceptional achievements of early career researchers in nanoscience.
The award, which is being held to coincide with ChinaNano 2022, will celebrate scientific excellence and exceptional promise for future contributions in nanoscience relating specifically to energy or 2D materials and other low-dimensional systems. To qualify, candidates will be within 10 years of completing their PhD and based in China.
Nominations open on July 1 and close on July 22. More information about the nomination criteria and judging process is available here(https://china.ioppublishing.org/news/iop-chu-ban-she-tui-chu-xin-jiang-xiang-gu-li-na-mi-ke-xue/).

RSC Symposium Introduction
The 9th International Conference on Nanoscience and Technology, China (ChinaNANO 2022) will be held in Beijing, China, August 13-15, 2022, bringing together innovators and contributors from all parts of the global nanoscience and nanotechnology community be it in person or virtually.
We are proud to announce the RSC Nanoscale journals symposium at ChinaNANO 2022, a half-day symposium with talks from distinguished board members and authors of Nanoscale Horizons, Nanoscale, and Nanoscale Advances to showcase exceptionally high quality and exciting work across two main areas of research: quantum (nano)materials and drug delivery.
The Royal Society of Chemistry and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in Beijing, China have a long standing collaboration with the publication of our three nanoscience journals and we would like to take this opportunity and celebrate our partnership together with authors, readers and Editorial Board members at this year’s event.
Nanoscale Horizons
Nanoscale Horizons is a leading journal for the publication of exceptionally high quality, innovative nanoscience & nanotechnology. The journal places an emphasis on original research that demonstrates a new concept or a new way of thinking (a conceptual advance), rather than primarily reporting technological improvements.
Nanoscale
Nanoscale is a high impact international journal, publishing high quality research across nanoscience and nanotechnology. Since its launch in late 2009, Nanoscale has established itself as a platform for high quality, cross-community research that bridges the various disciplines involved with nanoscience and nanotechnology, publishing important research from leading international research groups.
Nanoscale Advances
Our newest member of the nanoscale journal family, Nanoscale Advances, is an international gold open access journal, publishing good quality research across the breadth of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Notably before the start of the symposium, Professor Chunli Bai, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Editor-in-Chief of Nanoscale and Nanoscale Advances, will be hosting a cake ceremony to celebrate the success of the Nanoscale journal series and the ongoing collaboration with the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) of China.
