Nanocatalysis

Nanocatalysis has been the center of nanoscience and nanotechnology, which benefits catalysis in profound ways. Nanostructures and nanopores allow researchers to control the dispersion of active sites, promote desired diffusion pathway of reaction species. Precise size and facet control as well as assembly of nanoparticles into hierarchical structures lead to new type of catalysts with unprecedented activity and selectivity. Well-defined photo/electrochemical properties have also broaden our abilities to use photons and (in-built) electric fields for the further applications in such as water splitting, sustainable C1 conversion, N2 fixation and pollutant degradation, the tremendous and the most exciting concerns all over the world. Nanocatalysis has become frontier in chemical synthesis, environmental protection, clean energy, etc. in the background of exhaustion of fossil fuels and carbon resources along with the gradual increase of atmospheric CO2 concentration.
Sub-conference topics include but are not limited to:
Design, preparation and characterization of nanostructured and nanoporous catalysts; Structural and catalytic characterizations; Computational modeling of reactions on nanocatalysts, especially defect-doped or faceted-catalysts. Applications of nanocatalysts: Efficient chemical synthesis with high activity and selectivity in important reactions; Nano-induced new catalytic routes; Energy catalysis (oxygen reduction reaction, water splitting, CO/CO2 reduction, N2 reduction, etc.); Environmental catalysis (pollution abatement, NOx, SOx and VOCs degradation, etc.)
